Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

By means of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks the following relief which reads as under:-

"(A) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to pay the arrears of salary to the petitioner from 08.11.2007 to 27.01.2013 in the light of order passed by this Hon'ble Court, dated 15.12.2015 in Civil Misc. Writ Petition No.67258 of 2015 Yashpal Singh Vs. State of U.P. and others as well as also in the light of recommendation made by the respondent no.4 (Letter No.323/2016- dated 28.10.2017), forthwith or within a time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."

This Court by means of order dated 17.11.2022 had required the learned Standing Counsel to seek instructions.

Today, on the basis of the written instructions dated 22.02.2023, issued under the signature of the Joint Secretary, State of U.P., it has been informed that the case of the petitioner is under consideration and since the matter involved implication, accordingly it may take some time and it has been informed that the same shall be done within a period of four weeks.

In view of the stand taken by the State Government, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to keep the matter pending, accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1 to take a decision within a period of four weeks from the date a copy of this order is placed before the Authority concerned and intimate the same to the petitioner.

It is made clear that the Court has not examined the case of the petitioner on merits and the authority concerned shall decide the same strictly in accordance with the applicable rules and law.

With the aforesaid, the petition stands disposed of.
