This Court, in order to ascertain the veracity of compromise took place between the parties and to know the personal view/willingness of the alleged victim, has interacted with respondent no. 2 (victim) in chamber in presence of counsel for the parties and learned A.G.A. for the State. On the pointed query qua compromise took place, she has stated that now she does not want to prosecute the matter. A query has also been made by the Court as to whether she is making her statement under duress or coercion, she has denied any such pressure and stated that she is voluntarily making her statement with free will without any duress or coercion. She has further stated that the complaint has been moved on her behalf owing to some unavoidable circumstances, which she wants to withdraw. It is further stated that she is no more interested to give any evidence against the accused/applicants with whom she entered into compromise and buried the hatchet. It is further stated that the applicants (accused) are neighbour of the complainant and both the parties now want to live peacefully. She further stated that the father of the present applicants had previously filed a police case against her father-in-law and brother-in-law. In the said case both the parties have entered into compromise as well. Lastly, she has stated that the present matter may be closed. She admitted the factum of compromise, which has been verified by the court below.
