This application under section 482 Cr. P. C. has been filed with the prayer to issue a direction to the Additional Civil Judge (J.D.) IInd/Judicial Magistrate, Jaunpur to expedite the proceedings of Case No. 787 of 2020 arising out of N.C.R. No. 131 of 2019, State vs. Makalu and Others, under Sections 323 and 504 I.P.C., Police Station- Newadhiya, District- Jaunpur.
Admittedly the case is of the year 2020. It is well settled law that the Court shall not issue direction in a mechanical manner to expedite the case as it creates additional work in the court concerned when oldest cases are pending. In the present case, there are no special circumstances which call for early disposal of the said case. As such, no such direction, as prayed for, can be issued to the court concerned. The present application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is accordingly dismissed.
