The aforesaid case has been registered on the basis of an F.I.R. lodged on 15.10.2022 against four unknown persons and a named accused Hariram Yadav, who has been implicated on the basis of suspicion stating that on 14.10.2022 the informant's brother Mohd. Naseem Qureshi was returning from Peer Baba Ki Majar, Katra on a motorcycle with his friends Mohd. Imtiyaz and Shafiqurrahman at about 11.30 p.m. Four persons, who had covered their faces, intercepted the motorcycle. Mohd. Naseem Qureshi ran away and two of the miscreants chased them. Two other miscreants asked the friends of the informant's brother that they had no concern with the matter and they should run away. Mohd. Imtiyaz made a phone call to the wife of the informant's brother and told about the incident, who in turn told it to the informant. Upon making a search, the dead body of the informant's brother was found lying in a well. The informant stated that the deceased had married one Laxmi Yadav about ten years ago and his father in law Hari Ram used to threaten the deceased and the informant expressed suspicion that the incident could have been caused by Hari Ram.
