The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent Nagar Nigam, Agra to renew the licence of the petitioner for removal of skin of animal in a mechanised slaughter house. The said prayer has been made in the context of the petitioner having made request for renewal of licence which is said to be expiring on 31st December 2022.
Having regard to the innocuous nature of prayer, we dispose of the petition with direction to the Competent Authority of the Nagar Nigam, Agra to examine the renewal application / representation dated 17.12.2022 and pass a speaking order within four weeks from the date of receipt of true attested copy of the instant order alongwith photo copy of the application/ representation.
