The first petitioner, Smt. Varsha Rani, is a major with the date of birth recorded in her High School Marksheet being 25.07.2002. The second petitioner, Harsh, is also a major. His date of birth recorded in his High School Marksheet is 10.05.2001. It is averred that both the petitioners have solemnized their marriage on 24.06.2022 at Vaidik Jankalyan Samiti, B-33/4, Sajwan Nagar, Sahabad Ghaziabad, by their own free will. This is first marriage of the petitioners. They are living together happily as husband and wife. They have also applied online for registration of their marriage and their marriage has been registered on 24.06.2022 before Marriage Registration Officer, Ghaziabad. Copy of the marriage registration certificate has been brought on record as Annexure No. 4 to the writ petition. It is stated that till date, no FIR has been lodged relating to their marriage. It is further submitted that father of the first petitioner, respondent no. 4, Dayaram Lohia, is averse to the parties' marriage. He is harassing the petitioners in connivance with the local police. It is stated that petitioner no. 1 has given an application dated 14.10.2022 to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bulandshahr, seeking protection of their life and marriage but of no avail. There is no criminal case registered against the petitioners regarding their marriage.
