Today Advocates are abstaining from work. I have perused the record.

The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter-alia with the following prayer:-

"(I) issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the Respondent No. 2/ District Magistrate Kanpur Nagar to Renewal/Registration the petitioner's Arms License No. NPB Revolver /Pistol No. 104153 Bore-25 Maker-Chikoslaviya at District Kanpur Nagar."

It appears from perusal of the record that in this regard representations were made by the petitioner from time to time and it is also appears that a letter dated 14.10.2020 was written by the District Magistrate, Jaunpur to the District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar in which a representation has been made for registration / renewal of the armed license but till date no decision has been taken.

In view of above and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of finally permitting the petitioner to make a fresh representation ventilating all his grievances before the respondent no. 2, The District Magistrate, District- Kanpur Nagar within a period of three weeks from today along with certified copy of this order and in case any such representation is filed by the petitioner before the respondent no. 2 within the time indicated hereinabove, he shall consider and decide the same strictly in accordance with law by a speaking and reasoned order as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of filing of such representation by the petitioner before him.
