As per ofÏce report dated 26.4.2022 notice sent to the respondent no.2 by registered post has not been received back undelivered nor any acknowledgement due has been sent.Hence notice on respondent no.2 is deemed to be sufÏcient. AfÏdavit of service has also been filed proving that Dasti Notice on respondent no.2 has been served.Till date no one has responded on behalf of respondent no.2

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner claiming himself to be adopted son of Surendra Ram, who was working as Scientist in Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agricultural & Technology, , Faizabad. Surendra Ram died on 9.1.2020 on account of cancer and the petitioner claims that there were strained relationship of Surendra Ram with his wife Ranjana.His wife has been given service benefits of Group Insurance and General Provident Fund wherein she was nominated but the amount of gratuity payable after the death of Surendra Ram has not been paid to the petitioner.

This petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2, the aforesaid University, to decide the claim of the petitioner for payment of gratuity on account of death of his father, Surendra Ram after hearing the wife of Surendra Ram also in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order before him.
