Learned Standing Counsel has opposed the writ petition and has stated that the petitioner has an efficacious alternative remedy of filing an Appeal under the Uttar Pradesh Police Officers Subordinate Rank (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991.
Under such circumstances, no interference is warranted in the the instant writ petition.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
If the petitioner files an application for condoning the delay the same shall be considered sympathetically.
