The petitioner has filed this petition as Public Interest Litigation for a direction upon the first and second respondents to initiate proceedings against private respondent nos. 4 to 7 pursuant to letter dated 08.04.2022 and report dated 06.04.2022 sent by Lokayukt, U.P. It is also prayed that a direction be issued commanding the first respondent to lodge First Information Report against private respondent nos. 4 to 7 in respect of embezzlement of public funds relating to Nagar Panchayat, Jalali, District Aligarh.

Perusal of the record would reflect that on 10.06.2022, the Principal Secretary, Government, U.P has written a letter to the Director, Local Bodies of U.P to take appropriate action in respect of certain financial irregularities.

The learned Standing Counsel has submitted that the petitioner is actually having a grudge against the private respondents because of cancellation of allotment earlier made in favour of petitioner's mother.

Shri Anant Vijay, learned counsel who has appeared for respondent nos. 4 to 7 submitted that the private respondents have been served notice and they have submitted their explanation.

Considering that the notices have already been issued calling for explanation, at this stage we do not deem it necessary to examine the action on the report and the complaints. Moreover, it is expected that the proceedings initiated would be brought to its logical conclusion.

The petition is disposed of with expectation that the proceedings initiated against the concerned respondent shall be brought to its logical end.
