Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State.
Notices to respondent no. 2 and 3 are dispensed with.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an F.I.R. was lodged by the petitioner/informant on 07.08.2017 against respondent no. 2 and 3 which is registered as case crime No. 317/2018, under Sections 406/504/506 I.P.C., P.S. Kotwali, District Ballia. In that case charge sheet was filed on 12.03.2020 and cognizance was taken and the accused persons were summoned vide order dated 12.032020, however, since then nothing has happened in the trial, the accused persons have not appeared before the trial court till date, virtually no progress has been made in the trial and therefore, he prays that the proceedings of the aforesaid trial be expedited as early as possible.
Learned A.G.A. has no objection to this innocuous prayer.
In view of the aforesaid facts, the petition is disposed of directing the learned trial court to expedite the trial of criminal case No. 528/2020 "State Vs. Dashrath and others", preferably within a period of two years from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
