Present petition under section 482 CrPC has been filed for quashing impugned proceedings in Case No.786 of 2016 under Sections 323, 504, 506, 498-A I.P.C. and 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, P.S. Alambagh, Lucknow.

Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned counsel appearing on behalf of private respondent as also learned A.G.A..

Learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for private respondent jointly submit that the parties have amicably resolved their dispute on 15.12.2021 by way of compromise. The compromise has been filed as Annexure No.4 to the petition. The said compromise has been verified by learned trial court in compliance of order dated 20.12.2021 passed by this Court. The verification report is also on record.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in view of the compromise which has been verified by the learned trial Court, the impugned proceedings be quashed, to which learned A.G.A. has no objection.

Learned counsel has relied on judgment of Supreme Court in (2012)10 SCC 303 Gian Singh versus State of Punjab and another .

On due consideration to the submission(s) of parties' counsel and perusal of the record as also the judgment in Gian Singh's case (supra), this Court is of the view that the proceedings of Case No.786 of 2016 (Crime No.153/2014) are liable to be and are hereby quashed.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
