Sri Vibhay Dutt Ojha, learned standing counsel is present on behalf of the respondent nos.1 and 2 and sri R.P. Shukla, learned counsel is present for respondent no.3.

This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:-

" A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent No.2 to decide the demarcation Application No.T-202115060701143 (Aftab Ahmad and others vs. Gram Panchayat Khalishpur through its President of Land Management Committee, Khalishpur, Tehsil Sagari, District Azamgarh) under Section 24 U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act pending before him since 2017, within sort stipulated period in the interest of justice"

From the record it transpires that proceeding for demarcation under Section 24 U.P. Z.A. & L. R. Act is pending consideration before the respondent no.2 since 2017. Prayer has been made for early disposal of the same.

Learned standing counsel as well as learned counsel for the Gaon Sabha do not oppose the limited prayer so made.

As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending or calling for counter affidavit, without entering into the merits of the case the respondent no.2, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil Sagari, District Azamgarh is directed to bring the proceedings under Section 24 U.P. Z.A. & L. R. Act logically end expeditiously preferably within next six months from the date of production of a copy of this order downloaded from the website of the High Court strictly in accordance with law after hearing the affected parties.
