By this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction upon the respondents to release the amount of compensation of acquired land in favour of the petitioner.
On 12.07.2021, following order was passed:-
"The grievance of the petitioner is that though his land has been acquired for use by the National Highway Authority of India but he has not been paid compensation.
In view of the above, we deem it appropriate to require Sri Pranjal Mehrotra, who represents the National Highway Authority of India and the learned Standing Counsel, who represents the respondents 2 and 3, to seek instructions whether the land of the petitioner has been acquired or not and if acquired whether compensation has been offered to him or not.
Instructions be obtained within two weeks.
Put up, as fresh, again on 10th August, 2021. "
Pursuant to the order dated 12.07.2021, the learned Standing Counsel has obtained written instructions from competent authority/District Magistrate, Mau.
As per written instructions, the entire amount has been paid to the petitioner on 07.08.2021.
In view of the above, the cause to pursue the petition does not survive.
The petition is disposed off .
The written instructions obtained by the learned Standing Counsel shall be retained on record.
In case, the aforesaid statement is incorrect, the petitioner would be at liberty to apply for recall of this order.
