Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.

The petitioner has filed the instant petition praying for a mandamus commanding respondents 2 and 3 to give noobjection certificate for running retail meat shop by the petitioner. The case of the petitioner is that he has already been given no-objection certificate by Nagar Palika Parishad and Safety Officer under the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulation, 2011. Now the matter relating to grant of no-objection certificate on the aspect of law and order is pending consideration before the police authorities, which is being delayed.

Considering the above prayer, without expressing any opinion as to the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to move application before Superintendent of Police, Bijnor, who shall consider the same in accordance with law and issue necessary directions to the concerned officer in relation to the prayer of the petitioner for grant of no-objection certificate.
