Although several prayers have been made in the writ petition, but at the time of making oral submission, learned counsel for the petitioner confined his prayer for a direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the stay application pending in an appeal filed before him by the petitioner under Section 77 of the U.P. Minor Minerals (Concession) Rules, 1963. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the same.
Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the stay application expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of presentation of a true attested copy of the instant order.
