Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned counsel for the first informant and learned A.G.A. and perused the material brought on record.
This bail application has been moved to enlarge the applicant on bail in Case Crime No. 685 of 2020, under sections 498-A, 323, 324, 307, 308 of I.P.C. and 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Police Station Dadri, District Gautam Buddh Nagar.
As per the prosecution case, the marriage of the complainant was solemnized with the applicant on 12.12.2016.
It is alleged that as per demand, gifts were given, including, cash, gold jewellery etc. It is further alleged that applicant and in-laws of the informant were subjecting her to harassment for the dowry; grand-father of the complainant gave Rs. 2 lakhs to the in-laws to avoid harassment; further, one lakh was given on 08.07.2019 to the applicant. The complainant was mercilessly beaten; she incurred 7 injuries and one injury of fracture on the head which is grievous in nature.
