The instant petition has been filed for a mandamus commanding the respondents "not to harass the petitioners in peaceful life".
It is sought to be submitted that although there is no criminal case against the petitoner, but the petitioner is being subjected to harassment by the police by making regular visits to his house.
We have perused the writ petition and we find that the assertions made therein are absolutely vague. The father of the petitioner is stated to have approached the Human Rights Commission as well as the Director General of Police, Lucknow by moving separate applications.
Having regard to the above facts, we desist from issuing sweeping mandamus in the nature sought for in the writ petition, but leaves it open to the petitioner to pursue his applications filed before the authorities.
The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
