Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the State - respondents.
The present writ petition has been filed for direction to District Magistrate to register the petitioner's firearm lincence at District bearing firearm number 553/MON issued by District Magistrate, Zunheboto, Nagaland.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was granted fire arm licence bearing Licence No. 553/Mon issued on 16.10.1992. Thereafter the petitioner moved an application dated 31.7.2019 before respondent no. 2 to register the aforesaid firearm licence at District Varanasi on which the competent authority has also given no objection for registration/ renewal of the firearm lincence by the letter dated 21.11.2019 but no final decision has been taken on the application of the petitioner. He further submits that the application of the petitioner may be decided within the stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
To the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel has no objection in so far as the expeditious disposal of the petitioner's representation is concerned.
No useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending.
The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondent-2 to decide the application petitioner dated 31.7.2019, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of production of a copy of this order.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits. The party shall file computer generated copy of this order downloaded from the official website of High Court Allahabad. The computer generated copy of such order shall be self attested by the party concerned.
The concerned Court/Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of such computerized copy of the order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall make a declaration of such verification in writing.
