Writ petition (WRIT - A No. 6590 of 2020, Court No. 35) by Om Prakash Gupta, a Safai Karmachari at Block Mauranipur, District Jhansi, who had been transferred on his own request to District Chitrakoot by order dated 23.06.2019 (filed as annexure-8 to the petition); after expiry of one year the impugned transfer order was given effect to and the petitioner was relieved on 25.06.2020, joining the place of transfer on 02.07.2020. Invoking the extra-ordinary situation created due to COVID-19 and the fact that his wife was undergoing treatment in Government Hospital, Jhansi, the petitioner prayed that the concerned authority be directed to consider his case sympathetically for return to District Jhansi. Hon'ble Vivek Varma, J. (order dated 7.9.2020) disposed of the petition, accepting and recording the learned Standing Counsel's statement that, if the petitioner approached respondent no.2 with a fresh representation, his grievance would be considered and appropriate orders passed in accordance with law within six weeks from production of a copy of the order.
