Petitioners claim for grant of compassionate appointment appears to have been forwarded by the Chief Medical Officer, Kannauj to the 2nd respondent on 7.2.2019. Grievance of the petitioner is that though sufficient time has elapsed but the competent authority is yet to take a decision.
Learned Standing counsel states that an appropriate decision would be taken by the competent authority expeditiously.
In that view of the matter this petition stands disposed of with the direction upon the 2nd respondent to take an appropriate decision upon the recommendation made by the Chief Medical Officer, Kannauj on 7.2.2019 with regard to grant of compassionate appointment to the present petitioner consequent upon death of his mother Smt. Yashoda Devi Verma in harness on 14.5.2017. Required action would be taken within a period of two months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
