Grievance is that without any justifiable reasons the authorities of the State withheld payment of retiral benefits to the petitioner. Prayer is made to command the respondents to pay interest for the delay caused in payment of retiral benefits.
Learned Standing counsel states that the factual issues can be examined by the authorities of the State.
Petitioner admittedly has retired from service on 30.6.2016 but retiral benefits have been paid to him on 30.6.2018. It appears that a representation for payment of interest on such delayed retiral benefits has already been filed before respondent no.2 which is stated to be pending. This petition accordingly stands disposed of with the direction upon 2nd respondent to examine the claim of petitioner in accordance with law and to take all necessary action within four months from the date of representation of the certified copy of this order.
