Petitioner's claim for grant of compassionate appointment as Constable has not been considered since petitioner failed to secure requisite eligibility in terms of rules, and therefore, she was offered appointment on Class IV post.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had failed to run requisite distance as she was having sprain, and therefore, she be granted one more opportunity for the same.
It is admitted that petitioner has not been able to qualify running test in terms of the rules. Plea of sprain has been setup only after she failed to qualify and not earlier. In that view of the matter fresh opportunity cannot be granted to the petitioner, particularly when compassionate appointment is not a matter of right. In the event petitioner is willing to take appointment on class IV post, she may approach the S.S.P. concerned, who shall do needful at the earliest possible.
Subject to the aforesaid observations, this petition stands disposed of.
