Petitioners claim to have been transferred on their own request vide order dated 16.3.2018. They have approached this Court with the grievance that though order of transfer was passed way back in the year 2018 but they have not been relieved so far.

Taking cognizance of petitioners' grievance this Court has proceeded to pass following orders on 27.1.2020:-

"The standing counsel appearing on behalf of respondents is directed to obtain instructions as to why the petitioner is not being relieved despite transfer order, the said instruction should be obtained within a period of one week from today.

Put up the matter as a fresh case on 3.2.2020 before the appropriate Court. By which date the instruction shall be obtained by the standing counsel.

The matter shall not be treated as tied-up or part heard to this Court."

Despite grant of opportunity, learned Standing Counsel has not been able to obtain instructions.

In the facts and circumstances, I do not find any reason to keep this matter pending, and, accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition with the direction that in case the transfer order of petitioners has not been modified, revoked, stayed or deferred by any competent authority in exercise of power vested in it, the relieving authority shall forthwith relieve the petitioners without any further delay, and, in any case, within one week from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
