Learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that on 07.02.2020, an FIR was lodged for offence under section 3/8 of U.P. Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act against five accused persons, namely, Iliyas, Liyaqat, Riyasat, Jaitoon Begum and Haroon (applicant). It is next submitted that the applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case due to village rivalry. He was neither arrested from the spot nor any recovery has been made from his possession or on his pointing out. It is also submitted that co-accused Iliyas, Liyaqat and Riyasat have been granted anticipatory bail vide order dated 10.06.2020 in Crl. Misc. Anticipatory Bail Application No. 2542 of 2020 (copy of the order is annexed at page 22 of the present application), therefore, the applicant is also entitled for the same protection. Applicant has no criminal history to his credit. Lastly, it is submitted that he has apprehension of imminent arrest and in case, applicant is released on bail, he would not misuse the liberty and would cooperate with the investigation.
