Heard Sri Ravindra Prakash Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Anas Mahboob, learned Advocate holding brief of Sri Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the respondent no. 3 and learned Standing Counsel for respondent nos. 1 & 2.
By means of this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 to decide the claim of the petition within a stipulated period of time.
From the perusal of documents as have been brought on record, it transpires that the petitioner was served with the copy of provisional assessment order dated 29.07.2019 to which the petitioner has already filed objection on 13.08.2019.
Statement has been made by the counsel appearing for the Corporation that the final assessment order has not been passed till date and the respondent's objection is still under consideration.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the respondents shall proceed to pass the order of final assessment deciding the objection of the petitioner dated 13.08.2019 within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
