Present petition has been filed for the following prayer :-
"a. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the order dated 16.12.2015 passed by respondent no.2 (Annexure no.20 to the writ petition)
b. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents especially respondent no.3 and 4 to forthwith restore supply of electricity to the Domestic Electricity Connection No.1415/007858.
c. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents expecially respondent no.3 and 4 to forthwith correct the bill by deducting amount of Rs. 1,17,479.86 imposed as surcharge and adjust the amount already deposited by petitioner and then raise correct electricity bill."
This Court on 19.1.2016 as an interim measure directed petitioner to deposit Rs.35,000/-, and after deposit, the respondent-authorities were to restore the electric connection of the petitioner.
Today, Sri Yadav, Counsel for the Electricity Department contended that the petitioner deposited the said amount pursuant to the direction of this Court and his electricity connection was restored.
It appears that as the relief sought by the petitioner was granted, as such the matter has become infructuous or the petitioner has lost interest in pursuing the
matter.
Writ petition stands dismissed . However, liberty is granted to petitioner to move appropriate application, if any cause of action survives.
