Petitioners, who are 4 in number, have filed the present petition for the following relief:-

"i. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent no.3 to consider and decide the objection of the petitioners in regard with the apportionment f their share in the land in question Khasra Plot No.29 M area 0.1050 hct., situated in village-Mau, Tehsil and District-Fatehpur, and to release the compensation in favour of the petitioners according to their share in the land in question."

Land of the petitioner, Khasra no.29 M measuring 0.1050 hectare situated in Village-Mau, Tehsil & District-Fatehpur was acquired for special Rail project known as 'Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor' by respondent no.1 for respondent no.2 and notification was issued on 1.6.2016. An award was made by the competent authority on 31.3.2017 awarding compensation to the petitioners and other land holders.

According to the petitioner compensation amount was not released by the respondents, as such, they moved a representation before the competent authority which is part of the record as Annexure no.6.

We have heard Sri Arun Kumar Gupta, learned Counsel for the petitioners, Sri Arnab Banerji, learned Counsel for respondent no.2 and learned Standing Counsel for respondent no.3, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending, as such, with the consent of the parties, we direct respondent no.3 to decide the objection of the petitioner in

accordance with law, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, present petition stands disposed of.
