Heard learned counsel for applicant, learned A.G.A. and perused the record.

Learned counsel for applicant contended that applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case; that marriage between applicant and first informant did take place about 18 years back and applicant never made any demand of dowry and never treated first informant with cruelty for non-fulfilment of demand of dowry; that entire prosecution story is absolutely false and incorrect; that applicant undertakes that he will not harm and harass first informant in any manner whatsoever; that applicant has no criminal history; that applicant undertakes that he will not misuse liberty of bail; that applicant is in custody since 02.01.2019.

Learned A.G.A. opposed the prayer of bail and contended that applicant is addicted to liquor and has caused multiple injuries to his wife even after a period of 18 years of marriage and he is not entitled for any mercy.

Upon hearing learned counsel for parties, perusal of record and considering the complicity of accused, severity of punishment as well as totality of facts and circumstances, at this stage without commenting on the merits of the case, I find it a fit case for bail.
