Heard Sri Dinesh Kumar Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioners.
The only prayer made in the present petition is for a direction to the Additional District Judge, Room No.8, Allahabad to decide the pending Rent Control Appeal No. 234 of 1998, Prem Chandra Kanaujia vs. Lallu Khan (deceased) and another expeditiously.
The counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance upon the order sheet of the appeal and contends that the appeal is at the stage of final hearing although the dates are being fixed for some reason or other the matter is being adjourned, and the pendency of the appeal is causing hardship to the petitioners.
In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with an observation that in case the petitioners appear in the pending proceedings and do not seek any unnecessary adjournment it is expected that the Appellate Authority would make an endeavour to decide the aforesaid case expeditiously in accordance with law provided there is no other legal impediment.
