Heard Sri R.P.S. Chauhan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Pranjal Mehrotra, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 and 3 and the learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos. 1 and 4.

The petitioner in this writ petition, is seeking a direction commanding the Permanent Lok Adalat, Moradabad to consider and decide Complaint No.52 of 2018 (Smt. Pushpa v. Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd.). The petitioner is further seeking a direction restraining the respondents from initiating recovery proceedings in pursuance of the provisional assessment Notice No.2370 dated 23.04.2018 issued by the Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division-III, Moradabad, respondent No.3.

The contention of the petitioner is that the objections submitted by him before the respondent No.3 by registered post on 17.5.2018, may be directed to be decided expeditiously.

The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division-III, Moradabad, respondent No.3, to consider and decide the petitioner's objection dated 17.5.2018 in respect of the Complaint No.53 of 2018 (Smt. Pushpa v. Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd.), expeditiously, preferably within one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in his office.

It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits.
