No one appears for the petitioner.
Sri Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the respondent has sent his illness slip.
Be that as it may, we find that the petitioner was granted a franchisee for the period of two years for distributing electricity bills and collection of revenue by the respondent no.4, to the writ petition. Subsequently, by the impugned orders the franchisee granted to the petitioner was suspended by the order dated 08.05.2008 and thereafter cancelled by the other impugned order dated 26.05.2008.
On 15.11.2008 the petitioner was granted time to ascertain the factual position as to whether any cause survives. At the time of admission on 25.06.2008 this Court stayed the operation of the order dated 26.05.2008.
We find that since the franchisee was granted only for two years and now more than ten years have passed, this writ petition has become infructuous by efflux of time.
The writ petition is therefore, dismissed as infructuous.
