Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pankaj Srivastava, Advocate holding brief of Sri Satish Chaturvedi, learned counsel for respondent no. 3.

The petitioner is an agriculturist. He is also a holder of Kisan Credit Card. The petitioner is entitled to a waiver of loan to the extent of Rs. One Lac under the scheme permitted by the State Government. The particulars of the scheme are not available on the record of writ petition. However, the petitioner has made a representation to the District Magistrate for such waiver.

The only prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner is that the representation should be decided within a stipulated period of time.

Learned Standing Counsel has no serious objection to the aforesaid prayer.

In view of aforesaid the respondent no. 2 is directed to decide the representation of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the veracity of the assertions in the writ petition or even the factum of existence of such policy. Nor has the claim of the petitioner been judged on merits It is for the competent authority to do so after independent application of mind.

The writ petition is disposed of.
