Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record available before this Court.
The main prayer of the petitioner is that this Court may direct the appellate authority to decide the appeal namely appeal No.13 of 2018 (Geeta Rani Vs. State of U.P. and others) of the petitioner pending before the appellate authority expeditiously or within stipulated period.
The appeal is pending before the appellate authority since long. It goes without saying that the appellate authority shall fix the appeal for hearing alongwith the stay application as it appears that the proceedings were initiated because of news paper item i.e. annexure '6'.
The petitioner shall not seek undue adjournment from the appellate authority.
The appellate authority may decide the matter on or before 30.9.2018.
It goes without saying that this Court has not entered into the merits of the matter.
With these observations, this petition is disposed off.
