This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief:

(I) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the concerned respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner as early as possible within a period of 6 months.

(II) To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 not to take any coercive step against the petitioner till the disposal of the representation of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has confined his prayer to the extent that the respondent no. 2- The Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited, Mayohal, Allahabad may be directed to decide the representation dated 20.06.2018 of the petitioner within the stipulated period .

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the Electricity Department and perused the record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed of

with a direction to the respondent no. 2- The Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited, Mayohal, Allahabad to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 20.06.2018 in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order after hearing the concerned parties.
