The first petitioner is an educational institution imparting instructions in B. Ed. course. The grievance urged in the instant writ petition is that the fee reimbursement claim of the institution in respect of 6 students belonging to Scheduled Caste during Academic Session 2014-15 has not been allowed so far. It is pointed out that on 10.1.2017, District Social Welfare Officer, Meerut issued a circular letter calling for information on prescribed format from the educational institutions in respect of students, whose fee had not been reimbursed. The petitioners claim that in pursuance of the said circular letter, they have furnished the relevant information to the District Social Welfare Officer, Meerut on 6.10.2017. However, no action has been taken in the matter so far, and hence, the instant writ petition claiming a mandamus against the respondents for making good the claim of the petitioners for reimbursement.

Learned standing counsel submitted that the fourth respondent is competent to examine the claim of the petitioners and he would take decision in the matter, within such time as may be directed by this Court.

Having regard to the statement of learned standing counsel, the instant writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the fourth with a certified copy of this order and a fresh representation, and in which event, the fourth respondent shall examine the claim of the petitioners and shall pass a speaking order, within a period of next eight weeks.
