Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Rajesh Tripathi, learned counsel for the respondents. This petition seeks the following reliefs:-
"(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing order asking the petitioner to report to Uri (Jammu & Kashmir) after summoning the same from the respondents.
(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to send the petitioner to Uri (Jammu & Kasmir)."
Despite repeated queries, learned counsel for the petitioner was unable to indicate the date of the passing of the order nor was a copy of the same placed on the record.
On this, the Court proceeded to request the learned counsel appearing for the Union of India to take instructions and produce a copy of the order. However, learned counsel for the petitioner insisted for disposal of the matter on merits and on the state of the record as it existed.
Obviously in the absence of a copy of the order, or any details in respect thereof it is not possible for this Court to evaluate the challenge laid. The petition is dismissed.
