This matter has been adjourned on three previous occasions i.e. on 1.5.2018, 9.5.2018 and 24.5.2018. Today also when the matter is taken up even in the revised list, none appears for the petitioner.
Prayer is made in this petition to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's claim for grant of compassionate appointment on account of death of petitioner's wife.
It is not in dispute that petitioner's wife was engaged as Rojgar Sewak on contract basis. In terms of the Uttar Pradesh Recruitment of Dependents of Government Servants Dying in Harness Rules, 1974, the heir of such an employee would not be entitled to compassionate appointment.
Writ petition, accordingly, fails and is dismissed.
