This appeal is before us to examine correctness of the order dated 18.08.2018 passed by learned single Bench in Writ - A No. 16551 of 2018.
By the order aforesaid learned single Bench consigned the petition to records till the outcome of the proceedings initiated for cancellation of promotion on count that the qualification possessed by the appellant-petitioner is not valid under Rule 8(2) of the U.P. Public Works Department's Junior Engineer (Civil) Group 'C' Service Rules, 2014. As per the instructions available with learned Standing Counsel a notice to show cause was given to the appellant-petitioner and the explanation given thereon is pending consideration before the committee competent.
Having considered this facts, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this appeal by directing the respondents to decide the entire issue with regard to validity of the qualification possessed by the appellant-petitioner expeditiously but positively on or before 06.10.2018.
With the directions above the appeal stands disposed of .
