This petition for writ is preferred to have an appropriate writ or direction for respondent nos.2 and 3 to have fair investigation in Case Crime No. 196 of 2017 pending investigation at Police Station Nawabganj, District Kanpur Nagar relating to the offence under Sections 354, 506 IPC.

The allegation of the petitioner is that the respondent nos.4 to 7 being powerful person the investigating agency is not proceeding against them with adequate pace and fair investigation.

From perusal of the Annexure-2 annexed with the writ petition, it reveals that statement of the petitioner as per the provision of Section 164 Cr.P.C. has already been recorded and the investigation is at the verge of completion.

Looking to this fact, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition by directing the respondent no.3 Station House Officer, Police Station Nawabganj, District Kanpur Nagar to complete the investigation expeditiously and to file a police report as per the provision of Section 173 (2) of Criminal Procedure Code as soon as possible preferably within a period of three weeks from today.
