On 27.3.2018, in connected petition Contempt Application (Civil) No. 1027 of 2018, the Court had passed the following order:
"Sri Niraj Upadhyay, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appeared consequent to the last order passed and submits that although an order deciding the claim of the applicant has been passed on 27 January 2017, the same does not appear to advert to or deal with the issue of regularisation. He submits that this appears to have been lost sight of in light of the reference in the order of the writ Court to the decision of the Supreme Court in State of Punjab & others Vs. Jagjit Singh and others (2017) 1 SCC 148. He submits that a further order shall be passed by the opposite party dealing with the claim of regularisation and the said order shall be produced before this Court on or before the next date of listing.
List again on 1 May 2018. The opposite party shall in the meanwhile pass an order in light of the statement made hereinabove."
Sri Neeraj Upadhyay, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has appeared to state that subsequently the claims for regularisation were also duly considered by the committee constituted and it is found that the claim of the applicant could not be accepted under the Rules.
Since a decision on merits has now been taken, nothing further survives in the petition which stands disposed of .
