The submission of the learned counsel for the applicant is that he has been falsely implicated in the present crime. He has been nominated by the prosecutrix alongwith three others to have jointly ravished her, the three others being Mahaveer, Prem Shankar and Surendra. The learned counsel has, apart from other things, pointed out that the statement of the prosecutrix appears to be somewhat unnatural, and, one that raises a grave doubt where, as part of her assertions it is said that the assailants, all four of them, after entering the prosecutrix's home, pushed out her mother-in-law and she went away to the fields. He submits that if anything of that kind did happen, naturally, the prosecutrix's mother-in-law would have gone to seek help of natives to rescue her daughter-in-law and not have had gone away leaving the prosecutrix to be ravished by the applicant and the other coaccused. He has further argued that all three co-accused, including the applicant, were chargesheeted together and committed for trial to the Sessions.
